There are dozens of mistakes you can make in your business international transactions, team communications, and influencing to achieve objectives and implement solutions across borders. Most of them are due to not understanding the “unwritten rules” of how things are done and how people are expected to behave. That is why:
We help our clients see with a new perspective in order to understand the dynamics of their business interactions in international settings. We help you think in new ways so you can be successful in new environments where business is conducted differently. We give you concepts and tools to expand your interaction skills, develop key relationships, build tolerance and confidence when in ambiguous situations and patience with difficult communications across cultures. Here's an example:
Coaching - an expedient solution
Take the case of Sabine, a German-born supervisor working for a video games company in Los Angeles. She is a team leader responsible for localization in one of the many studios. Although she learned how to navigate American business culture successfully within a year of arriving in California, she experienced a lot of difficulty communicating with the Japanese localization team. Sabine was often frustrated with missed deadlines and low trust between the two teams. This loss of time and productivity was a drain on the studio as competition grew in the industry.
In the very first coaching sessions, Sabine perceived the heart of the issue – she did not have a relationship with her Japanese team. She also saw that she had not shared her expectations with the team leader, nor did they have any agreements about project deadlines, information sharing, and communicating problems as they came up. Within one month Sabine was able to develop a relationship with the Japanese team, and they then put together mutually acceptable agreements that helped all team members to communicate about issues more efficiently and meet project deadlines. And most of all, she learned to build trust with this group so that the former problems did not re-surface.

We have a 10-step coaching process that starts with identifying the Potential, creating Intention and Commitment, getting into Action, Measuring Progress, and Celebrating.
Our 360 degree learning approach starts with YOU, the learner: We use several learning modalities, whether for a group learning or an individual coaching program.
The learning sometimes starts with our Polaris® Global Leadership Competency Model and 360° Assessment Survey, developed by Esprit Global Learning and Organization Systems International. The 360 assessment survey feedback is a very most powerful way to help executives and managers learn and make desired changes in their leadership.
